Cupaclad from Spanish cladding and roofing specialist Cupa Pizarras is a natural-slate rainscreen system.

Natural slate has always been popular for an impressive roof finish, but the wooden battens make it problematic for cladding due to necessary fire certifications.

However, when paired with Cupa Pizarras's new aluminium fixing system, it results in a low-carbon and A1 fire-rated natural slate cladding system.

Cupaclad’s Natural Slate is also a sustainable product, as proven by its EDP.

Additionally, Cupa Pizarras adheres to ISO 14001, has been awarded a Gold Rating by sustainability ratings service provider EcoVadis and operates under Carbon Neutral processes in accordance with the PAS 2060 standard. This is certified by Control Union to ensure it hits the necessary sustainability credentials.

Cupa Pizarras organises personalised monthly online RIBA-approved CPD courses to spread the word and raise awareness of Cupaclad.

Its team of experts is on hand to help architects with samples, technical information and installation support.
