Velfac is known for its high quality composite glazing and technical and design expertise. It delivers tailored support at every specification stage, from initial design through to post-installation, to ensure the glazing installed delivers on budget, design vision and performance.

Acoustic consultancy

Velfac's acoustic consultancy services ensure specified glazing meets acoustic targets (either with standard or acoustically enhanced Velfac units), with all units supplied factory finished to guarantee performance standards proven by extensive third-party testing.

In-house design

Structural engineering and automated design experts work closely with project teams to make sure the Velfac system meets aesthetic, installation and performance goals, with an emphasis on installation and interface. Technical experts can come on-site at any (and every) build stage to ensure design specifications are fulfilled.

Installation services

Velfac continues to develop innovative installation methods in response to the latest building products and architectural developments. Its network of Approved Velfac installers also provides capacity when needed, with CWCT certification for work on projects of every size.

BIM

Velfac's design service operates at BIM level using its revised and updated BIM models. Available in NBS file format, Velfac BIM objects are easy to use and data-light, allowing a faster comparison across product ranges and providing object information in factsheet format. The company's BIM object library is regularly extended and updated - visit bimobject.com for more details.

Performance guaranteed

Velfac units have a 12-year warranty, an expected product lifetime of 40 years and require only minimal maintenance. Every unit has a unique ID tag, making service queries and re-ordering far easier - part of Velfac's commitment to long-term, post-installation support.

Cost consultancy

Early stage, detailed cost planning can keep spending on track and to deadline, reducing the risk of unexpected budget hikes. Velfac's dedicated in-house estimating resource can provide accurate project costing and demonstrate cost performance balance, from conceptual stages onwards to provide budget and performance certainty.

Sustainability advice

All Velfac units come with an environmental impact statement to prove sustainable construction and performance, from manufacture in ISO 14001-accredited facilities to the use of water-based wood treatments. Units are also designed for easy disassembly and recycling.

Optimising energy performance and indoor climate

Velfac windows are configured to maximise indoor comfort and energy performance, taking advantage of U-values as low as 0.8 W/m²K, for example, or slim 54mm sight lines that maximise natural light. Free area calculations for naturally ventilated projects can also be provided.
