The new Wetwall Alloy collection of prefabricated engineered surface wall panels from Wilsonart allows architects to easily enhance the look of any bathroom space.

The 4mm panels are available in 10 marble, stone, tile and wood decor designs, plus 16 matt and high-gloss solid colours. They comprise a waterproof composite core faced on each side by an aluminium layer and are finished with a high-performance decorative coating.

Crucially for architectural professionals, the panels are certified to British Standard EN 13501-1, fire rating B-S1-d0 (reaction to fire of construction products) and BS 476 parts 6 and 7 (testing methods for fire safety). This means all project stakeholders can have full peace-of-mind that the panels have undergone practical testing before specification.

As a result, architects do not have to seek the assurances that would be required when bonding specific laminates to panels and backing boards using certain adhesives.

With the golden thread of crucial building information now needed from the design phase, and throughout a structure’s lifetime, the Wetwall Alloy collection’s clear compliance with vital fire regulations is a standout feature.

This clarity also means that this wallcovering material can be fitted swifty without additional testing or assurance processes. The use of panels also helps to improve the speed and ease of install when compared with tiling, resulting in more time-efficient architectural projects.

This innovative system can be easily affixed to pre-prepared surfaces using Wetwall specific profiles and Wilsonart Complete adhesive and sealants, creating a watertight finish in a process that takes just a few hours and requires no expert training.

By contrast, tiling often takes multiple days and the finish quality can vary greatly depending on the size of the space and the tiler’s experience.

As well as carrying an industry-leading lifetime guarantee, Wetwall panels are also grout-free, making them easy to clean and maintain after handover. They are also designed to be 100 per cent waterproof, protecting the building’s underlying walls from moisture damage caused by splashes and condensation.
