Take these suggestions to your next project - they can help turn a kitchen space into the true centrepiece of a home.

1 Drinks stations

There is a big trend for bringing the cafe experience into the home. Coffee or tea stations are rising in popularity and including a multifunctional drinks system like Blanco Choice makes creating hot or cold beverages seamless. The innovative system provides instant access to filtered chilled, boiling and sparkling water, saving time and adding a touch of luxury. Blanco Choice is the first drinks system of its kind in the UK and, by incorporating it into kitchen design plans, that cafe experience can be recreated in clients' homes.

2 Pantries

The water hub is where we spend the majority of our time in the kitchen so it’s important to incorporate an all-in-one multifunctional system such as a Blanco Unit to optimise functionality in this area of the kitchen triangle. Designers can further enhance a design by adding a second Blanco Unit in a pantry.

This can be a real hidden hero that helps maintain the sleek aesthetic of the main open-plan kitchen diner space. Having as a secondary location for prep work, messy appliances and additional storage keeps the main water hub area clear and inviting. With a multifunctional sink and tap system and integrated waste management, a Blanco Unit fits seamlessly into both spaces, optimising functionality without sacrificing design.

3 Futureproofing

Kitchens should be designed to remain functional for all stages of life and including a Blanco Choice drinks system is the perfect way to futureproof the space. The innovative system offers filtered chilled, boiling and sparkling water in a customisable experience. Whether it’s dispensing the exact amount of water into a favourite glass or creating pre-saved settings via the Blanco Unit app, it's easy to revolutionise the kitchen water hub experience with the Blanco Choice system.

4 Kitchen islands plus

I like to rethink traditional island designs by incorporating flexible and multifunctional worktop solutions. Blanco's Adira sinks are a great way to do this as they act as fully fledged workstations and blend aesthetics with functionality. This family of Blanco sinks meets all kinds of requirements in the kitchen and an Adira sink enhances water workflows and streamlines daily tasks.

5 Outdoor connections

Bringing the outdoors in can transform the way a kitchen feels and functions. A mini courtyard with a pergola offers a perfect setting for alfresco dining, seamlessly extending the kitchen’s utility to outdoor areas. Sliding or folding doors can enhance this connection, flooding the kitchen with natural light and improving the sense of space.
